Plovdivska Karotina tomato SEEDLING

Plovdivska Karotina tomato is a very rare, unique variety that produces 2.5-3 oz. (70-80g) fruits with dark-orange exterior and dense orange-pink flesh. The variety has twice as much vitamin C and antioxidants as other ones! Moreover, these tomatoes have the highest dose of carotene too! Carotene and lycopene prevent harmful oxidation, which helps the prevention of various diseases such as cancer, as well as conditions such as fatigue and insomnia. The variety has a sweet flavour with low acid. The fruits are dense and don’t crack! It is very productive amid adverse weather conditions.

Plovdivska Karotina tomato was bred by Vegetable Crops Research Institute “Maritsa” (Plovdiv, Bulgaria).

Indeterminate plant with regular leaves, mid-, mid-late season.
