Gezahnte tomato

Gezahnte tomato produces 5-10 oz. (150 – 300g) toothed or pleated pear-shaped pink fruits wich are semi-hollow inside. This Italian variety is excellent for stuffing, saucing, canning (keep their color) and dehydrating! Moreover, these tomatoes are great for slicing (they look like flowers), decorative garnishing, pizza and sandwiches too! Classic tomato flavor! For a beautiful presentation this is a must have! This variety is very productive in cold and hot climates and adverse weather conditions!

Gezahnte tomato was originated with Frau Isabella Buhrer-Keel of Basel (Switzerland) who obtained the seeds from an Italian man whose mother grew this tomato in Naples, Italy. Frau Isabella Buhrer-Keel donated seed to ProSpecieRara, Aarau, Switzerland. Gezahnte tomato was first offered in the Seed Savers Yearbook in 2001.
